Thar

There’s always a sense of intrigue when a real-life father-son duo share the screen, and that’s one of the USPs of Thar. This Western noir, starring Anil Kapoor and Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, is about an antique dealer crossing paths with a policeman at a remote Rajasthan village, which is rocked by a series of violent killings.

Jhund

If you’re looking for a dose of inspiration to get off the couch, then Jhund is a must-watch. Like most sports biographies, this is the story of Vijay Barse (Amitabh Bachchan), a retired sports teacher from Nagpur who starts a slum soccer movement in his town. This marks the directorial debut of Marathi filmmaker Nagraj Manjule.

Apple TV+

Tehran (S2)

The Israeli espionage thriller returns, and is amping up the danger and action with more shootings, combat and car chases. Season one didn’t end well for Tamar (Niv Sultan), and season two is going to be anything but easy. She’s on the run from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, only to be contacted by the Mossad for another dangerous mission.
