It’s 2025, and two of the most important Android flagships of the year are already here. The OnePlus 13 and Samsung Galaxy S25 series have been launched, and offer buyers the option to go full-power into the flagship experience. If you have a decent budget for a new smartphone and are used to having things functioning at peak levels on your personal device, you’ll want to look at these two excellent Android flagship devices which are priced at under Rs. 1,00,000 - the OnePlus 13 and Samsung Galaxy S25+.

Both devices are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and come with triple-camera setups at the rear. However, there are some key differences which do set the OnePlus 13 and Samsung Galaxy S25+ apart, and each comes with its own unique and specific benefits. OnePlus 13 vs Samsung Galaxy S25+: Price and variants

OnePlus 13

The OnePlus 13 and Samsung Galaxy S25 series are both priced in the premium segment, but there are differences in the pricing and the variants despite the similar specifications and core components. The OnePlus 13 starts at Rs. 69,999 for the variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the Samsung Galaxy S25+ starts at Rs. 99,999 for 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

The OnePlus 13 is also available in a 16GB / 512GB variant which retails at Rs. 76,999, and a supercharged 24GB RAM and 1TB storage option priced at Rs. 89,999. The Samsung Galaxy S25+ also gets a 12GB RAM and 512GB storage option for Rs. 1,11,999.

The OnePlus 13 comes in three colour options - midnight ocean, black eclipse, and arctic dawn. The Samsung Galaxy S25+ comes in two standard colours - navy and silver shadow - along with three special colours which are only available for purchases through the official Samsung website - blue-black, coral-red, and pink-gold.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus

The OnePlus 13 and Samsung Galaxy S25+ both get triple-camera setups at the back, with both getting 50-megapixel primary cameras. However, the rest of the camera setup differs between the two; the OnePlus 13 gets a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor and 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor in addition, while the S25+ gets a 10-megapixel telephoto and 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

At the front, the OnePlus 13 gets a 32-megapixel camera, while the Samsung Galaxy S25+ gets a 12-megapixel selfie camera. Both smartphones are capable of recording video at up to 8K resolution at 30fps, and 4K resolution at 60fps. Dolby Vision is supported on the OnePlus 13 for video recording, while the Samsung Galaxy S25+ gets HDR10+ support.

Super slow-motion recording at up to 480fps is possible on the OnePlus 13, while the S25+ gets up to 240fps slow-motion recording. OnePlus does of course have its camera system tuned by Hasselblad, while Samsung relies on its own fine-tuning and setup for its camera system.

OnePlus 13 vs Samsung Galaxy S25+: Software and UI

OnePlus 13

The OnePlus 13 and Samsung Galaxy S25+ both run on Android 15, although the user interfaces are considerably different in the way they are presented. OxygenOS 15 and OneUI 7 each have their own qualities and features, with the former focused on performance and efficiency, while the latter goes with an AI-first approach.

OnePlus’ OxygenOS has changed a fair bit from the early days, but it’s still a fairly light UI that doesn’t have as much bloatware and functional change as compared to similar options from other brands. Getting around is fairly easy, and the interface doesn’t deviate too much from the stock Android way of things. Additionally, added features such as Trinity Engine, the ability to pause alarms for a day, and generally quick loading times makes for decent quality-of-life improvements.

Samsung’s OneUI 7 turns the focus towards AI, but does also offer a slightly easier approach to the basics and a good level of customisability. There are dedicated menus for the various AI functions, and easy access to AI tools for tasks such as generative image editing and translation.

Depending on what you’re already used to, you might favour one user interface over the other. Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus

The OnePlus 13 and Samsung Galaxy S25+ both get premium-grade LTPO AMOLED displays, although the sizes are a bit different. The OnePlus 13 gets a slightly larger 6.81-inch display, while the Samsung Galaxy S25+ gets a 6.7-inch screen. The resolutions are similar on the two devices; the OnePlus 13 has a resolution of 1440x3168 pixels, while the Galaxy S25+ gets a 1440x3120-pixel display.

Peak brightness is rated at 4500 nits on the OnePlus 13, while the S25+ gets to 2600 nits at its highest. HDR up to the Dolby Vision format is supported on the OnePlus 13, while the Samsung Galaxy S25+ gets HDR10+ support at the highest. The S25+ gets Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, while the OnePlus 13 gets ceramic guard protection for the display.

Both smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and come with 256GB of storage in the base variants. However, RAM differs on the OnePlus 13 depending on the variants; you get 16GB of RAM with the 512GB variant, and 24GB of RAM with the 1TB option. The Samsung Galaxy S25+ has a standard 12GB of RAM for both the 256GB and 512GB variants. Both devices get LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

The OnePlus 13 gets a 6000mAh battery, which notably has a dual-cell design. This allows for the battery to be charged much quicker than single-cell batteries, allowing for a peak charging speed of 100W. Wireless charging at up to 50W is possible, with the optional AirVOOC magnetic charger.

The SuperVOOC 100W charger needed for fast wired charging is included in the box with the OnePlus 13. It typically takes well under an hour to fully charge the OnePlus 13, and the fast charging also lets you get a burst of charge in short time - convenient for when you want to leave the house in a hurry.

The Samsung Galaxy S25+ has a 4900mAh battery, and supports 45W wired charging, and 15W wireless charging with support for the Qi2 standard. The box doesn’t come with a charger, so you’ll have to pick up the right charger yourself, or use something you already have lying around. Expect a full charge to take a little over an hour, but you can get bursts of charging in short timeframes as needed.
