Amazon is expanding Alexa+ with four new Echo devices – Echo Dot Max, Echo Studio, Echo Show 8, and Echo Show 11 – featuring custom chips and advanced sensors for richer sound, smarter AI, and deeper integration into daily life.

The new lineup combines AZ3 and AZ3 Pro processors with an AI accelerator and Omnisense, a sensor platform using cameras, microphones, ultrasound, and Wi-Fi radar. This enables Alexa+ to act more proactively, from reminding you about tasks when you enter a room to alerting you if the garage door is left open. All devices come with Alexa+ access out of the box.

Echo Dot Max

The Echo Dot Max, at $99, is Amazon’s most advanced Dot to date, featuring a two-way speaker system with redesigned acoustics that deliver three times the bass of the 5th-generation model. It has a compact form factor and reduces background noise and enables more natural, room-wide interactions with Alexa+.

Echo Studio

The Echo Studio, at $219, is 40% smaller without compromising sound quality, as per Amazon. It includes a powerful woofer, three optimised full-range drivers, and supports spatial audio and Dolby Atmos. The Studio integrates into Alexa Home Theater setups, allowing users to pair up to five Echo devices with Fire TV sticks for instant surround sound.

Echo Show 8 and Show 11

The smart displays are also getting a refresh. The Echo Show 8, at $179 and Echo Show 11, at $219, feature in-cell touch screens with sharper visuals, wide viewing angles, and adaptive display technology. Both come with enhanced audio via front-facing stereo speakers and a custom woofer, as well as a 13MP camera that detects users and shows contextually relevant information as they approach.
