BenQ has launched the ScreenBar Halo 2, a next-generation monitor light designed for professionals, content creators, and gamers who frequently work in dark or variable lighting environments. This updated version delivers over four times the lighting coverage of the original model, made possible by a newly engineered triple-curved backlight structure and an enhanced dual-light setup.
The ScreenBar Halo 2 is built to eliminate the problems commonly associated with regular desk lamps, such as screen reflections, shadows, and harsh brightness. With BenQ’s ASYM Light optical system and an 18-degree asymmetrical beam angle, the light is projected downward onto the workspace instead of the monitor. This helps prevent glare, reduces strain on the eyes, and ensures comfortable, evenly diffused illumination throughout the area.
A major redesign comes in the form of a new mounting mechanism. Instead of clip-style attachments, BenQ now uses a gravity-balanced zinc-alloy mount that sits securely on a wide range of monitors, including curved screens, without scratching or exerting pressure.
The Halo 2 also incorporates several smart capabilities: automatic brightness adjustment, motion sensing that turns the lamp back on when the user returns, and memory functions that recall preferred settings. These features are intended to simplify everyday use while improving efficiency.
Developed in collaboration with MINIMAL Design, headed by former Nike Global Creative Director Scott Wilson, the ScreenBar Halo 2 features a sleek metallic build and a clean, understated look meant to fit seamlessly into high-end workspaces and studios. It pairs especially well with BenQ’s PD, RD, MOBIUZ, and MA series monitors.
The BenQ ScreenBar Halo 2 is now available via BenQ’s India online store, Amazon India, and select retailers at a price of Rs. 17,490.
