Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is making its way to the PlayStation 5. Revealed with a new trailer, the game is set to launch on Sony’s console on December 8, 2025.
To enhance the PS5 experience, Microsoft has integrated the DualSense wireless controller’s immersive features. Players can feel adaptive trigger feedback that reacts to different ground surfaces and speeds, as well as resistance adjustments in the air, creating a more tactile and realistic flight experience.
Air traffic control (ATC) communications are routed through the DualSense controller’s built-in speaker, mimicking the experience of a real cockpit. Additional features like gyro controls, lightbar integration, and a customisable touchpad further deepen the sense of immersion while flying.
Developed by Asobo Studio in collaboration with Microsoft Game Studios, the PS5 version of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will receive the latest updates, including free World Updates and Sim Updates, ensuring players enjoy the same experience as those on PC and Xbox.
Support for PlayStation VR2 is also in the works, though it won’t be available at release, a free update in 2026 will add full VR compatibility.
