Sony has brought its Bravia 5 television lineup to India, combining its Advanced AI Processor XR with technologies aimed at delivering better picture and audio output for varied content types. The new series supports 4K resolution with HDR formats like Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced, alongside features designed for gaming, cinema, and everyday streaming.
At the core is Sony’s XR Backlight Master Drive, which works with XR Contrast Booster 10 to manage brightness and black levels, helping to maintain contrast across scenes. For colour performance, Sony uses XR Triluminos Pro, paired with XR Clear Image, to improve sharpness and detail across content sources.
The set also supports XR Motion Clarity for smoother fast-motion playback—useful for sports or action-heavy scenes—and comes with Studio Calibrated Mode, tuned to display visuals as per the creator’s intent. Audio is handled through Acoustic Multi-Audio tech, featuring tweeters that position sound based on what’s on-screen, along with dual down-firing speakers. Voice Zoom 3 is also onboard to isolate and clarify dialogue during shows and films.

The Bravia 5 is also integrated with Sony Pictures Core, giving access to select titles in high bitrate and IMAX Enhanced formats. Gamers get HDMI 2.1 features like 4K at 120Hz, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), along with PS5-specific features such as Auto HDR Tone Mapping.
The 55-inch Sony Bravia 5 starts at Rs.1,37,740.
