Volkswagen India has just launched its flagship SUV for the Indian market, and it's the all-new Tiguan R-Line. This isn't your dad’s Tiguan, oh no. Built on the MQB EVO platform, Volkswagen reckons this new R-Line offers unparalleled driving dynamics and a ride smoother than a Kishore Kumar song. The Tiguan R-line is priced at Rs. 49,99,900 (ex-showroom) in India.

Let's talk design, shall we? The all-new Tiguan R-Line is strutting its stuff with sporty 'R' themed exteriors and interiors, embodying that signature Volkswagen-R design language. We're talking about expressive character lines and aerodynamics that will make the wind jealous.

Up front, it's got a bold look with LED Plus headlights and a glass-covered horizontal strip, while the rear's showing off a new horizontal LED strip. And check out those 'R'-inspired 19-inch "Coventry" alloy wheels – diamond-turned, no less! Inside, it's all about the 'R' inserts on the front sport comfort seats, an illuminated 'R' logo on the dashboard, ambient lighting with 30 colours (fancy!), and a panoramic sunroof.

But it's not just a pretty face. This Tiguan R-Line is spoiling you rotten with "Ergo active" seats featuring a massage function and adjustable lumbar support, 3-zone air-conditioning, Park Assist Plus, and even wireless charging for two smartphones.

Under the bonnet, there's a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine delivering a hefty 204 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque. It's paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. For those who like a bit of spice in their drive, it also comes with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC Pro) and a Vehicle Dynamics Manager (XDS).

Safety-wise, it's loaded with 21 Level 2 ADAS features, 9 airbags as standard, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, front and rear disc brakes – the works! And it's got a 5-Star EURO NCAP safety rating, so you know it's serious.
