Western Digital has unveiled its latest offering in India –the new 8TB SanDisk Desktop SSD. Designed with content creators and business professionals in mind, this SSD promises read speeds of up to 1000MB/s. It also provides solutions for backing up and accessing high-resolution photos, videos, and files, catering to the needs of modern digital workflows.
The SanDisk Desk Drive comes with capacities of 4TB and 8TB, ideal for storing CAD files, 3D renders, large AI-generated files and extensive music libraries. Plus, it ensures swift access to even the most demanding files, such as 8K videos, featuring read speeds of up to four times faster than traditional desktop HDDs.
The drive also supports Apple Time Machine for macOS users and offers automatic backups through the downloadable Acronis True Image software for Windows. It integrates with both Windows and macOS systems out of the box, formatted with exFAT and connected via the included USB Type-C cable. Backed by a three-year limited warranty, the 4TB SanDisk Desk Drive is priced at ₹39,999, while the 8TB SanDisk Desktop SSD is available for ₹72,999.
