Amazon's new Kindle Paperwhite just dropped, and it's the fastest one yet

Amazon just launched the latest version of its Kindle Paperwhite e-book reader in India, currently at version six. The latest version of the popular reader from Amazon is priced at Rs. 16,999 in India, and is on sale now on the Amazon online store. Claimed to be the fastest Kindle device as well as the thinnest Paperwhite model yet, the new Kindle Paperwhite has a 7-inch display and battery life of up to 12 weeks on a single charge.

For now, the Kindle Paperwhite is available in a single black colour variant. The device has a dual-core processor, which Amazon promises will deliver page turns at a 25 percent faster pace, improved keyword touch response, and easy access to the user's Kindle library. USB Type-C charging and battery life of up to 12 weeks at a time are additional benefits, so you don't need to worry about running out of juice on long vacations.

Touted to be the thinnest Paperwhite model yet, the new e-reader has a 300ppi glare-free reading display and 16GB of internal storage for books. You can therefore safely store thousands of e-books on device. Also going on sale alongside are covers for the new Kindle Paperwhite, in Black, Marine Green, and Tulip Pink colour options. The covers are priced at Rs. 1,999 in India.
