Amazon’s latest Echo Spot has landed in India, bringing Alexa smarts wrapped in a semi-circular design. Up front, there’s an LED display with custom clock faces, colourful visuals, and four fresh alarm tones to kick-start your mornings. Perfect for bedside duty, it also features a Night Mode, making late-night time-checks easy without blinding your sleepy eyes.
The Echo Spot has a 2.83-inch touchscreen and a front-firing speaker. Alexa’s on hand to stream music, podcasts, or audiobooks from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and JioSaavn (subscriptions apply). The display also flashes song titles while music plays, and you can tap the screen or ask Alexa to skip tracks. Need to tweak the volume? Just hit the handy buttons up top.
You can also use the Echo Spot as a hub for your smart home. Hook it to compatible gadgets and set up Alexa Routines to automate daily tasks with voice commands. With Ultrasound Motion Detection onboard, it can trigger smart home routines, like turning on lights or playing music, by sensing you’ve entered the room.

And, when it comes to staying connected, you can ask Alexa to make audio calls, send household announcements, or even Drop In on other Alexa-enabled devices around your home. Amazon says the Echo Spot comes with multiple layers of privacy controls, including a microphone on/off button and options to view and delete your voice recordings.
As for customisation – you can pick from six colour themes for the display—orange, violet, magenta, lime, teal, and blue—or mix and match with clock faces to suit your vibe. The Echo Spot is available in two classic shades, Black and Blue, priced at ₹8999.
