Asus ROG’s Doom: The Dark Ages graphics cards will rip and tear through your games

But can it run Crysis?

Asus ROG has announced a collaboration that's sure to get any PC gamer's blood pumping: a tie-in with Bethesda and id Software for the upcoming Doom: The Dark Ages. This isn't just a sticker slapped on a card, mind you. It's a full-blown limited-edition graphics card. The ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 Doom Edition is designed to celebrate both the new game and the 30th anniversary of Asus graphics cards.

The card itself is a sight to behold, sporting a green and gold colour scheme, artwork featuring the Doom Slayer, and even fans designed to look like the Slayer's Shield Saw. Subtle nods to the Doom universe are scattered throughout the design, making it a collector's dream.

But it's not all about looks. Underneath the aggressive aesthetic lies some serious hardware. We're talking about a GeForce RTX 5080 with 16GB of GDDR7 memory, robust power delivery, and a cooling system designed to keep things running smoothly even when the on-screen action gets intense. Asus says it's ideal for gamers rocking 4K high-refresh-rate monitors and wanting the ultimate Doom experience. Doom: The Dark Ages is a prequel to the legendary Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal, promising an epic story and cutting-edge visuals thanks to idTech8, ray tracing and Nvidia DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation to boost those frame rates.

If you're keen to get your mitts on this beast, it'll be sold exclusively through the Bethesda Gear Store. And it's not just the card you'll get; the bundle includes an exclusive T-shirt, mouse mat, yellow key card, and an ROG-exclusive Doom Slayer Legionary in-game skin. You can even add the Premium Edition of the game to your order.
