Asus launched a series of new gaming laptops in its Strix and Zephyrus lineup. There’s even the top-of-the-line Zephyrus Duo 16 which you can read about here. Let's move on straight to the most important aspect, the features. First things first, the ROG Strix Scar 16 and 18 are powered by the Intel CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4000 series GPU with MUX Switch and the new DDR5 RAM. And it features a QHD 240Hz display with adaptive sync. The design is new too. There is a clean cut across the lid with black colour and a similar design is replicated across the keyboard too. Just like its predecessors, the laptops come with Aura Sync accents. Plus, both, the metallic ROG logo on the top lid and the keyboard, feature RGB shine and the keyboard supports per-key personalization.
The Strix Scar 17 is pretty much the same but the insides are powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX processor, with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU with MUX Switch and DDR5 RAM with a QHD 240Hz display with adaptive sync.
Lastly, the new Zephyrus M16. This one comes with a 92% screen-to-body ratio and super narrow bezels and the 16:10 aspect ratio further maximizes screen real estate. It has QHD resolution along with a 240Hz panel that supports G-Sync/adaptive sync. The M16’s ROG Nebula display HDR also has 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, Pantone Validation, Dolby Vision and 1100 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it has up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i9 CPU paired with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 GPU. Furthermore, the upgraded MUX switch with advanced optimus lets you easily switch between GPUs to maximize performance or battery life, without restarting your laptop. Additionally, a new FullHD webcam with 3DNR noise reduction and IR technology is also housed in the top bezel. The M16 will also be available with Anime Matrix as well.
As for price, the ROG Strix Scar 16 comes for ₹ 2,79,990, ROG Strix Scar 17 for ₹2,69,990, ROG Strix Scar 18 comes for ₹2,79,990 and the ROG Zephyrus M16 comes for ₹2,99,990.
