At CES 2025, Crunchyroll, in collaboration with Aniplex, Sony Music, and PlayStation Productions, revealed an upcoming anime series based on the award-winning Ghost of Tsushima video game. The series will also draw inspiration from the game’s Legends cooperative multiplayer mode, blending action with Japanese folklore and mythology.

The Ghost of Tsushima anime, produced with Aniplex, will be directed by Takanobu Mizuno, with story composition by Gen Urobuchi and animation by Kamikaze Douga. The series will capture the game’s traditional samurai aesthetics. Sony Music will serve as the strategic music and soundtrack partner for the series.
The series will exclusively premiere on Crunchyroll in 2027.
