Nvidia dropped the mic at CES 2025 with big news—revealing plans to open a local data centre in India by mid-2025. While it’s not official yet, this could be the first step towards GeForce Now officially landing in India. If it does, gamers will be able to stream AAA titles straight to their devices—no need for pricey, top-tier hardware.
While Indian gamers have been accessing GeForce Now via VPN, latency issues have made it less than ideal. The upcoming launch of Nvidia’s dedicated servers in India could mean a smoother, lag-free gaming and streaming experience, finally bringing the platform up to speed for local players.
Nvidia also announced plans to introduce Ultimate memberships and new titles for newly added regions. GeForce Now’s current library of 2,100+ games is also about to get better, with AAA heavyweights like DOOM: The Dark Ages and Avowed joining the cloud lineup as they hit PC later this year.
Nvidia also shared plans to bring a native GeForce Now app to the Steam Deck later this year, letting gamers enjoy their Steam library with GeForce RTX performance. It is teaming up with Apple, Meta, and ByteDance to bring GeForce Now cloud gaming to Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest 3 and 3S, and Pico VR and mixed-reality headsets. Expect the full suite of Nvidia goodies, including ray tracing and DLSS.
While exact launch dates for the app and India’s new data centre remain under wraps, Nvidia promises updates soon—and we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.
