CES 2025: LG’s latest OLED bendable monitor is all about that 5K2K resolution

What does that mean?

Forget curved monitors, LG's gone full bendable with the UltraGear GX9 series. That's right, this bad boy can go from flat to a 900R curve faster than you can say "PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds." Leading the pack is the 45GX990A, a 45-inch 5K2K OLED beast that's snagged not one, not two, but three CES Innovation Awards. This monitor isn't just bendy, it's also brain-meltingly sharp, boasting the world's first 5K2K resolution for an OLED gaming monitor.

Second in the line is the LG 45GX950A, a curved 45-inch 5K2K OLED monitor with a fixed 800R curvature. Both monitors come loaded with LG's Dual-Mode tech, letting you tweak aspect ratios and picture sizes on the fly. Imagine switching from a focused 16:9 battlefield to a sprawling 21:9 racing sim with a single click.

And if that wasn't enough to make your eyeballs explode, LG's also unveiled the 39GX90SA, a 39-inch smart gaming monitor powered by webOS. Think of it as a gaming monitor and a streaming box had a beautiful, OLED-powered baby.

Curved monitors haven’t become mainstream yet but bendables do make a strong case for switching between immersive sim racing to flat-screen RPG gaming on the fly.
