CES 2025: Samsung Neo QLED 8K QN990F features 8K upscaling, a minimalist design and a wireless connect box

Because who likes a cluttered life – or living room?

Samsung took the spotlight at CES 2025 with its new flagship Neo QLED 8K QN990F. Sporting a sleek, minimalist design and powered by the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, Samsung says this TV is built to impress.

Its AI smarts include Samsung’s proprietary 8K upscaling, frame-by-frame HDR remastering, adaptive sound tuning, and Color Booster tech for jaw-dropping visuals. Add AI Mode, which fine-tunes pictures and sound on the fly based on what you’re watching.

Sticking to the minimalist vibe, Samsung has equipped the QN990F with a Wireless One Connect Box, making cable clutter a thing of the past. This piece of kit keeps your TV space clean and connected, with Samsung claiming it can transmit signals up to 10 meters away—even with obstacles in the way.

Meanwhile, on the 4K front, Samsung’s QLED lineup steps up with the NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor, 4K AI Upscaling Pro, sharper visuals, and a 165Hz refresh rate. For those who crave size, the QN80F offers a massive 100-inch option, while the QN90F stretches things even further at 115 inches.

Over in OLED land, Samsung is rolling out the S95F, S90F, and S85F. Leading the pack, the flagship S95F features the NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor, advanced glare-free tech, a 165Hz variable refresh rate, and a bright display.

Samsung’s AI game is strong across its entire 2025 TV lineup. Vision AI brings next-level personalisation and optimisation, including Click to Search, which can identify people, places, and products on-screen in real-time. Curious about the actor, that stylish jacket, or the exotic location in a scene? Your TV’s got the answers (probably).
