Naoki Yoshida, the director of Final Fantasy XIV at Square Enix, shared that the upcoming mobile version of the game, Final Fantasy XIV Mobile, will serve as a “sister” product to the original console and PC MMO. The aim is to capture the epic scale of the original’s story and combat mechanics while adapting it for a mobile experience. Yoshida also highlighted that the game will faithfully include non-combat features, such as the Disciples of the Land and Hand, which encompass vocations like miners, botanists, and fishers.
