Google’s new tool, Flow, is an AI-powered filmmaking platform built around its models—Veo, Imagen, and Gemini. It’s designed to help creators turn ideas into cinematic scenes using natural language prompts.
Flow taps into Veo for high-quality video generation, while Gemini simplifies prompting, letting users describe shots in plain language. You can bring in your own assets or generate visuals using Imagen’s text-to-image features. Once elements are created, they can be reused across scenes for visual consistency, or used as a starting point for new shots.
It features a robust set of tools for creators. Camera Controls give you more command over shot composition, while Scenebuilder lets you extend or edit existing clips—adding transitions and preserving character consistency. Asset Management makes it easy to organise your visuals and prompts, so your workflow stays tidy. And with Flow TV, you get a curated stream of Veo-generated content to draw inspiration from, complete with the original prompts and techniques used—perfect for picking up new creative tricks.
