Google Nest Hub second gen smart home device arrives in India

But with key features missing

Google’s second-gen know-it-all Nest Hub launched a year back globally, and offered improved audio, along with advanced features like sleep sensing and quick gestures. While the smart home device has arrived at our shores, it seems to have dropped a few key features in transit.
One of the key features missing is sleep sensing, which analyses how the person closest to the display is sleeping. Another missing feature is quick gestures, which uses the soli radar to detect users’ hand gestures to pause or play content.
But what you do get is an edgeless glass display with no plastic housing on the front. Google also says that the second-gen Nest Hub offers up to 50 percent stronger bass than its predecessor. There’s also a secondary microphone this time around to hear your ‘Hey Google’ command from across the room.
The Google Nest Hub 2nd gen is priced at ₹7,999 in India, and is available via various e-commerce sites. Buyers can also avail an interesting offer, where they can also get a Nest Mini for just ₹1. This offer is however only valid till January 26.
