No party is complete without a good board game (unless you are the dancing kind of social animal). After taking the world by storm earlier this year, Wordle has quickly become this generation’s equivalent of Candy Crush. In order to ensure this generation is completely socially inept and glued to their phone, Hasbro has created the physical board game version of Wordle, dubbed Wordle: The Party Game to play with your family and those scarce friends.
The board game is almost identical to its digital counterpart, with players attempting to guess a five-letter word with six tries. Where it differs is that the board game equivalent will allow you and your friends to pick a host at the beginning of each round. This player will jot down the secret word that everyone has to guess.
The point scoring works inversely, so those who need fewer attempts to guess each word, score fewer points. The player with the least points by the end of the game wins. To mix things up a bit, the pack features four different ways to play the game– classic play, fast, timed and teams(for when you are looking to get especially competitive).
You can get your hands on the game via Hasbro’s website, for just $20 (roughly ₹1,600). So gather your friend(s) and get the party started.
