iQOO 12 launched in India with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset

New in town, the iQOO 12!

The iQOO 12 has finally landed in India, making a grand entrance with its claim to fame — the title of being the inaugural Android phone equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. But that's not all! Alongside this chipset, this smartphone brings forth a bundle of enhancements in its design and camera section, promising an upgrade to the iQOO lineup.
 

The iQOO 12 weighs 203.7 grams and comes in the Legend Edition — White and the Alpha Edition — Black. The former has enamelled glass and is pure white in colour with tricolour stripes while the Alpha edition features a smooth Fluorite AG Glass glow. For photos, there’s a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 150° field of view, a 64MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a V3 imaging chip. For selfiles, it has got a 16MP front camera.
 

The iQOO 12 comes with a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, dishing out a 1.5k resolution at 2800x1260 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate along with a peak brightness of 3000 nits and HDR10+ support.
 

Underneath the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor is accompanied by the Adreno 750 GPU. The smartphone also comes with generous memory options, scaling up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and storage capacities peaking at 512GB using UFS 4.0. Running the show is FunTouchOS 14, based on Android 14.
 

The iQOO 12 houses a 5000mAh battery and supports lightning-fast charging with its 120W FlashCharge tech via a USB Type-C port. And, it supports 50W wireless charging. As for the price, the iQOO 12 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage carries a price tag of ₹52,999, while the 12GB RAM / 512 GB storage variant retails at ₹57,999.
