JBL has launched the Authentics range of Wi-Fi speakers in India, with prices starting at Rs. 44,999 and going up to Rs. 79,999. The new Authentics range of speakers include three models - the 200, 300, and 500 - and rely and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as the primary ways to connect to source devices and networks for music streaming. They also look rather nice, thanks to the retro styling and premium elements that go into making the speakers. All three are available to buy now across major retailers and JBL's own online store.
The Rs. 79,999 JBL Authentics 500 leads the charge, with support for Dolby Atmos sound on its 270W, 3.1-channel driver setup built into its one-box package. There are three tweeters and mid-range woofers each, along with a down-firing subwoofer for added bite.
The Rs. 44,999 Authentics 200 is a more affordable and toned-down version of the 500, with both featuring Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Bluetooth connectivity. Finally, at Rs. 54,999, the JBL Authentics 300 is the only one of the three which also gets some portability chops. It can run on battery power outside of the home, with a promise of eight hours of battery life.
All three speakers are compatible with the JBL One app for setup and use, and support Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant functionality. Wi-Fi connectivity lets you use Apple AirPlay, Google Chromecast, Spotify Connect, and Alexa Multi-room Music functionality, too.
