JBL’s latest release, the Bar 1000 MK2 it’s a modular soundbar with a clever twist. It comes with detachable wireless speakers that double as portable Bluetooth units. Pop them off and place them behind you for surround sound, or take them on the go for music anywhere. The whole system runs on the JBL One Platform, giving you access to hi-res streaming, a customisable 7-band EQ, and instant playlist control— from one unified interface.
The JBL Bar 1000 MK2 features six up-firing drivers, and delivers full Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround sound, possibly creating a dome of immersive audio above and around you. A powerful dual 8-inch subwoofer brings the thunder, while AI Sound Boost keeps the volume punchy without introducing distortion.
Making its first appearance is SmartDetails — a feature designed to pick up the faintest sounds, so you won’t miss a whisper or the creak of a floorboard in tense movie scenes. Dialogue clarity gets a boost too, courtesy of PureVoice 2.0, which intelligently enhances spoken word without affecting the rest of the mix.
JBL’s upgraded MultiBeam 3.0 technology broadens the soundstage using advanced beam-forming for a wider, more enveloping experience. On the connectivity front, the soundbar is kitted out with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, and Roon Ready support — all controllable via the JBL One app for seamless streaming and fine-tuning.
The JBL Bar 1000 MK2 is available now for $1199 (approx. Rs.1,03,000).
