Kia India has officially rolled out its much-awaited EV9 and Carnival Limousine, with the EV9 priced at ₹1.29 crore and the Carnival Limousine at ₹63.9 lakh. Let’s look at the EV9 first.
As Kia’s flagship electric SUV, the EV9 features a 99.8 kWh battery, offering a claimed range of up to 561 km on a single charge. And when it comes to charging, Kia says its ultra-fast tech lets you juice up the battery from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes using a 350kW DC charger.
The EV9 sports a bold design, with vertically stacked LED headlamps, distinctive L-shaped DRLs, and a closed-off grille featuring integrated digital-pattern lighting. At the rear, you'll find vertical LED tail lamps paired with a clean, minimalistic tailgate and a dual-tone bumper with a skid plate. In terms of size, the EV9 is quite substantial, measuring 5,015 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, standing 1,780 mm tall, and riding on a 3,100 mm wheelbase.
Tech-wise, it comes packed with Kia Connect 2.0, an advanced platform that integrates with smart devices, enabling over-the-air (OTA) updates for software and vehicle diagnostics. The EV9’s futuristic design, rooted in Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ philosophy, includes a Trinity panoramic display—combining a 12.3-inch HD instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen navigation system and a 5-inch HD HVAC display.
The EV9 comes standard with a 6-seater layout, featuring second-row captain's chairs that offer electric adjustment, a massage function, and adjustable leg support for extra comfort. Plus, it’s packed with premium features, including three-zone climate control, dual electric sunroofs, a head-up display, a digital rear-view mirror, vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, and a 14-speaker Meridian audio system. There’s also a digital key for added convenience. When it comes to safety, Kia has loaded the EV9 with 44 controller modules and 27 advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) features.
