LG has introduced a new range of home appliances under the Essential Series, created exclusively with Indian homes in mind. The company says the lineup was developed after engaging with over 1,200 families across India to gain insights into how appliances are used in varied climates, regions, and living conditions.
The Essential Series comprises four key appliances – a double-door refrigerator, a fully automatic top-load washing machine, a room air conditioner, and a convertible oven. LG says each product is engineered to withstand local challenges such as power outages, low water pressure, dust, and humidity, while keeping pricing affordable for middle-class households.
The double-door refrigerator features frost-free technology, eliminating the need for manual defrosting. It automatically adapts cooling based on ambient weather conditions and offers 20% more vegetable storage than previous LG models, a practical upgrade for larger families or those with a vegetarian diet.
The washing machine in the Essential Series is capable of operating even under low water pressure. Its motor is protected by a dust- and moisture-resistant cover, and the control panel is water-resistant to withstand humid environments.
The air conditioner targets users conscious of electricity consumption. It features Energy Manager+ for monitoring and controlling energy use, along with Diet Mode+, which adjusts cooling intensity to save power while keeping spaces like bedrooms or small living areas comfortable.
The convertible oven comes with preset menus for popular Indian dishes such as paneer, ghee, and dal. It supports air fry and convection cooking, catering to those who want healthier meals without compromising on traditional flavors.
Prices for the Essential Series start at Rs. 18,000.
