Lumio Arc 5 and Arc 7 debut with Full HD playback and support for Netflix and Google TV

Indian tech brand Lumio, known for debuting its smart TV lineup earlier this year, is now stepping into the home projector segment with two new models — the Arc 5 and Arc 7. The projectors come with official Google TV and Netflix certification, meaning users get native access and full support for both the platform and the streaming service.

Lumio also states that the devices are compatible with all major OTT platforms. Backing the hardware is a network of over 200 offline service centres across India, offering a carry-in service model. Both Arc 5 and Arc 7 use LED tech and are capable of delivering Full HD (1080p) visuals.

The Lumio Arc 5 and Arc 7 projectors feature a native 16:9 aspect ratio, cover 41.9% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, and include support for HDR10. Under the hood, both models run on the MediaTek MT9630 chipset, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

The Lumio Arc 5 offers 200 ANSI lumens of brightness and supports projection sizes up to 100 inches. Plus, it includes built-in 5W speakers with Dolby Audio. Stepping up, the Lumio Arc 7 doubles the brightness with 400 ANSI lumens and retains the 100-inch projection capability. It features dual 8W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio.

Both projectors are equipped with a range of smart enhancements, including Smooth Trapezoidal Recalibration, auto-keystone correction, obstacle avoidance, and instant autofocus for easy setup and a cleaner viewing experience. The remote control features Google Assistant integration along with quick-access buttons for Netflix, YouTube, and TLDR — a custom dashboard for sports and music content.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), HDMI 1.5 and 2.0 with Dolby passthrough, and USB 2.0. In terms of format support, the projectors can handle a wide range of video codecs — including MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, H.265 (HEVC), VP8, VP9, and AV1 — at up to Full HD resolution (1080p) and 60 frames per second. For audio, there's compatibility with major formats like FLAC, Dolby Digital, and Dolby Digital Plus. They also come with L1 Widevine certification and Netflix ESN support.

The Lumio Arc 5 starts at Rs. 19,999, whereas the Lumio Arc 7 costs Rs. 34,999.
