Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the ultra-luxurious Maybach EQS 680 electric SUV, priced at ₹2.25 crore (ex-showroom). As the brand's flagship electric offering, the SUV comes with exclusive Maybach-specific design cues, features, and tech upgrades.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV showcases the emblematic Mercedes star on its hood, flanked by a signature black panel adorned with vertical chrome accents and a concealed radar sensor panel. Chrome-plated filigree slats add a touch of refinement to the air intake on the bumper. At the same time, the Maybach lettering is integrated into a chrome strip, aligning with the digital light headlights. For an added flourish of exclusivity, the Maybach pattern graces trim parts of the side bumper and even makes an appearance as a projection on the doors.
The side profile of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV is marked by chrome surrounds along the windows and B-pillar. Pronounced wheel arches are highlighted by high-gloss black cladding, and the SUV rides on 21 or 22-inch alloy wheels. Illuminated running boards with anodized aluminium treads add a functional flair. At the rear, there are continuous light-strip tail lights, along with chrome accents on the tailgate, rear apron, and spoiler lip.
Inside the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV, the MBUX Hyperscreen takes centre stage, offering a zero-layer interface with Maybach animations in a refined deep blue. There’s an animated instrument cluster in Maybach mode, featuring rose gold surrounds and pointers. The central display also features intuitive controls, allowing for personalised display styles and modes.
The rear cabin of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV features two 11.6-inch displays as part of the MBUX High-End Rear Seat Entertainment system, accompanied by a rear tablet for remote control. MBUX Interior Assist also enables gesture-based controls. The interior exudes luxury with Maybach Exclusive Nappa leather available in rich tones and for those seeking an even higher tier of elegance, optional Manufaktur leather.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV also features automatic comfort doors, both front and rear, as a standard feature. When the driver approaches from a distance of about 20 feet, the recessed door handles extend, and upon nearing the vehicle to within 5 feet, the driver’s door opens automatically. This welcome function can be activated or deactivated through the MBUX central display.
The SUV comes equipped with a standard Burmester 4D surround sound system featuring Dolby Atmos tech. It has 15 speakers, including bass speakers, 3D speakers, and seat exciters. Adding to the sensory experience is the bespoke "Aerial Grace" driving sound, unique to this electric model, which adapts in real-time to driving conditions for a dynamic, interactive acoustic journey.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV offers a WLTP range of up to 611 kilometres, powered by a 484 kW motor that delivers 950 Nm of torque. Mercedes says the SUV reaches 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, while its top speed is capped at 210 km/h. For added convenience, fast charging capabilities allow the vehicle to charge from 10% to 80% in 31 minutes using a 200 kWh DC charger, and it can achieve a 300 km range in 20 minutes.
