The new Cayenne debuts the Porsche Driver Experience

What truly matters to the techieā€¦

Porsche has come up with a fancy new way to control your car. They call it the Porsche Driver Experience, which may sound like an expensive spa treatment but it's just a new cockpit design for the Cayenne. They've taken some of the features from their electric sports car, the Taycan, and put them into a regular old combustion engine Porsche.

Now, instead of boring old gauges, you get a fancy curved display that looks like it's floating in mid-air. And, instead of having the gear selector in the centre console like a neanderthal, they've moved it to the right of the steering wheel. That way, you have more room for the really important stuff - like the air conditioning controls. Because who cares about shifting gears when you're sweating in the Indian summer?

But wait, there's more! The new steering wheel has all sorts of fancy buttons that let you choose between Normal, Offroad, Sport, and Sport Plus modes. And, if that's not enough, there's a new toggle button that lets you customize the display to your heart's content. Plus, you can even control the head-up display from the steering wheel, which is a lot easier than trying to reach for it on the windshield.

They've also added a fancy new passenger display that lets your co-pilot take over the navigation duties. And, if you're the kind of person who can't go five minutes without checking their phone, they've even added a cooled storage area with wireless charging and a bunch of USB-C ports. So, now you can stay connected to the world even while you're cruising around in your fancy new Porsche.

In summary, the Porsche Driver Experience is basically a way for Porsche to make you feel like you're driving a spaceship instead of a car. But hey, if that's what you're into, go for it! After all, that’s the way we like things here in the Stuff HQ!
