Nothing Phone (1) starts from ₹32,999 in India

The competition has Nothing to worry about

Finally, after a year of poking and teasing the crowd with its smartphone design, Nothing Tech has pulled back the curtain on this year’s most anticipated smartphone — the Nothing Phone (1). Going for a starting price of ₹32,999 (8GB/128GB), the Phone (1) can easily be positioned as a budget smartphone. Although you can pony up ₹35,999 for the 8GB/256GB or 38,999 for 12GB/256GB variants if you want more oomph and storage from this transparent beauty.

In return for your hard-earned cash, the Nothing Phone (1) is packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ processor and a 6.55in OLED 120Hz display with HDR10+ and a peak brightness of 1200nits. Obviously, the back of the smartphone is what makes the Phone (1) an absolute looker and that’s thanks to the Glyph LED lights which light up in different ways and are accompanied by different sound cues to alert you of the notifications. The rear also houses a 50MP main and a 50MP ultra-wide camera meanwhile the front selfie snapper tops at 16MP. The backside also supports 15W Qi wireless charging but you can slot a 33W charger to top up the 4,500mAh battery to 50% in 30mins.

That’s pretty much all there is about the Nothing Phone (1). It runs on Nothing OS which is based on Android 12 with promises of three years of Android updates and four years of security patches. There’s WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, an in-display fingerprint scanner and an IP53 rating. All that is left is for you to wait for our full review which should be out shortly.
