Optoma UHZ50+ unveiled at What Hi-Fi Show, features upgraded Smart Home experience

Optoma has given its 4K UHD laser home cinema projector line-up a boost with the launch of UHZ50+ in black colour at the What Hi-Fi 2023 Show in Bangalore. The projector boasts HDR capability and rich blacks and claims to deliver an enhanced smart home experience to discerning AV and gaming enthusiasts. The projector is on demo exclusively at the What Hi-Fi Show 2023

The UHZ50+ is slated to deliver a superlative visual experience with 3,000 lumens of brightness and 27,00,000:1 contrast ratio. The Laser engine features DuraCore Laser technology and is rated to last for up to 30,000 hours with the optical components rated IP6X for the highest level of protection against dust ingress. 

Optoma has upgraded the Smart Home experience in the UHZ50+ with features such as Optoma Marketplace, File Manager, Creative Cast, and connectivity with voice assistants. The device comes bundled with a Google and Netflix certified Android TV dongle from Hako mini.

The UHZ50+ is capable of reproducing 125% Rec 709 colours, while PureMotion MEMC delivers judder-free motion videos. Setting up the projection is a breeze, with 4-corner adjustment, 2D keystone correction, vertical lens shift, powered 1.3x zoom, and warping at 3x3 matrix.
