Panasonic Lumix G97 features 4K recording, vertical video shooting and a 20.3MP sensor

Panasonic’s Lumix G97 joins the Micro Four Thirds family with a focus on content creators. The camera brings vertical video shooting to the table, allowing you to capture social-media-ready footage without the hassle of post-editing. Paired with 4K video capabilities, it is said to deliver crisp, high-quality video in a lightweight, travel-friendly body.  

The camera is packed with a 20.3MP CMOS sensor and an image processor. Thanks to the Lumix Photo Style feature, you can adjust your images with a range of colour effects to match your creative vision. The Live View Composite feature lets you layer multiple exposures in real-time—good for capturing light trails, starry skies, or illuminated cityscapes, all without the risk of blowing out the background. The Record Frame Marker your framing is spot-on across various aspect ratios, letting you tailor your content for different platforms and artistic needs.

The LUMIX G97 comes equipped with a 5-stop 5-axis Dual I.S.2 system, which as per Panasonic guarantees stability for both photos and videos. With 4K Photo capabilities, you can shoot rapid bursts of high-resolution images at 30fps. The camera also allows you to record in 4K at 30p without any time restrictions, giving you the freedom to experiment with slow-motion (up to 4x) or quick-motion (up to 8x) in FHD. Plus, it also offers 12 stops of V-Log L.

With a 1,840k-dot free-angle LCD and a 2,360k-dot OLED Live View Finder, the camera ensures framing and focusing. Plus, it's durable, dust- and splash-resistant. Built-in Bluetooth v5.0 and WiFi make sharing content or controlling the camera remotely easy, while USB Type-C charging offers added convenience. Plus, it comes equipped with dedicated headphone and microphone jacks.

The Lumix G97 is priced at ₹84,990 for the 12-60mm lens kit (DC-G97MGW) and ₹94,990 for the 14-140mm lens kit (DC-G97HGW).
