Realme GT 2 Pro launched in India with 40x micro-lens onboard

Microscope on phone

Realme has added a new phone to its flagship GT-series, and it comes with a camera that is capable of getting really close to the subject – real close. The new Realme GT 2 Pro boasts of top-notch specs, including a 40x magnification micro-lens onboard.
Realme has opted for an interesting design choice by including a paper-like rear panel. It is as close to a paper as possible, and one can actually use a pencil and eraser on the surface.
As for specs, the smartphone features a 6.7in 2K resolution display with 120Hz refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 silicon with up to 12GB RAM, and 256GB storage.
In addition to the micro-lens, the phone’s photographic chops include a 50MP primary lens, and a 50MP 150° ultra wide-angle lens. Up front is a 32MP selfie cam.
The 5G-enabled device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery, with support for 65W SuperDart Charge. As per the company, you’ll be able to juice up the battery from 0-100% in just 33 minutes.
Along with the flagship device, the company also took the wraps off the Realme 9 (4G variant) at the same event. This device sports a 108MP primary camera, 120° ultra-wide cam, and a macro cam. There’s also a 90Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 680 chip, and a 5,000mAh battery.
Prices for the Realme GT 2 Pro start from ₹49,999, and go up to ₹57,999. The phone will go on sale from April 14. Realme 9, on the other hand, is priced at ₹17,999 and ₹18,999, and will go on sale from April 12.
