Samsung has launched the Galaxy Ring in India, priced at Rs. 38,999. The new super-compact wearable functions primarily as a health tracking device, working with Samsung's suite of AI-enabled tech to deliver all-day health and fitness tracking while synchronising data with a paired smartphone. Apart from this, it's also a nifty device that enables gesture controls on paired Samsung Galaxy smartphones, to help with functions such as taking pictures or dismissing alarms.
Interestingly, the Samsung Galaxy Ring also works with a Samsung Galaxy Watch to improve health and fitness tracking metrics while also enhancing battery life on both devices. It's designed for 24/7 health monitoring, and will be available in 9 different sizes ranging from size 5 to size 13. The Ring weighs just 2.3g for size 5, going up to 3g for size 13, and the sales package includes the clamshell-style charging case. The wearable itself has an LED indicator to indicate charging.
Usefully, the Samsung Galaxy Ring is IP68 and 10ATM rated for dust and water resistance, so it can be worn just about everywhere and all the time. the device works with Samsung's Health AI platform, and is designed to provide health insights and data in the background - obviously through your smartphone with the paired app which syncs and collects data from the Galaxy Ring. Heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and auto-detect workouts are pitched as the Galaxy Ring's forte, but there's obviously a lot more to it.
Priced at Rs. 38,999, the Samsung Galaxy Ring is on sale now on Samsung.com, select retail stores, Amazon, and Flipkart. It's available in three colours and multiple sizes.
