Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 is a 500Hz gaming monitor

For $1488!

Samsung’s newly announced Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF) gaming monitor claims the distinction of being the first OLED gaming monitor to offer a 500Hz refresh rate. The 27-inch panel is backed by 0.03ms grey-to-grey response time, engineered to minimise input lag and ghosting. Samsung says together, these specs are tuned to elevate fast-paced gameplay with smooth motion and heightened clarity, especially in competitive titles where split-second reactions matter most.

The Odyssey OLED G6 uses Samsung’s own QD-OLED panel—a fusion of deep OLED contrast and the colour accuracy of quantum dots. The 27-inch display runs at QHD+ resolution (2560x1440) with a 16:9 aspect ratio, peaking at 1,000 nits of brightness.

It supports both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for stutter-free gaming, and carries the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 badge. Add Pantone Validation to the mix—with support for over 2,100 colours and 110 skin tones.

The monitor comes in a metal frame, complete with Core Lighting+ on the rear that syncs with on-screen content for a more immersive glow. The stand allows for height, tilt, and swivel adjustments, and the ultra-slim bezels are designed to keep the focus on the action. Connectivity is comprehensive, with DisplayPort 1.4, dual HDMI ports, a USB-A slot, and a headphone jack.

To address OLED’s long-standing burn-in concerns, Samsung has equipped the G6 with its OLED Safeguard+ tech, combining a pulsating heat pipe with a dynamic cooling system claimed to be five times more effective than conventional solutions. There’s also automatic dimming of static elements to further extend panel longevity.

The Odyssey OLED G6 is priced at $1488 (approximately ₹1,27,112).
