Get ready to see a whole new world with Snap’s new lightweight, immersive Specs, unveiled at the Augmented World Expo 2025. The brand took a small computer and stuffed it inside a pair of glasses with see-through lenses that are designed to enhance the physical world with digital experiences.
These all-new Specs are engineered to understand the world through advanced machine learning, capable of bringing AI assistance into three-dimensional space. They will also enable shared games and experiences with friends and function as a flexible workstation for browsing, streaming, and more.

New APIs like Depth Module API will anchor AR information accurately in three dimensions, while the Automated Speech Recognition API enables real-time transcription across more than 40 languages, and Snap3D API lets developers generate 3D objects within Lenses.
New tools for location-based experiences are also launching, such as the Fleet Management app, Guided Mode, and Guided Navigation for AR-guided tours. With Specs, the company intends to realise the full potential of AI by bringing immersive experiences into the physical world through augmented reality.
