Sony's 'Cinema is Coming Home' concept highlights Bravia 2024 TV series' capabilities

Acclaimed director SS Rajamouli joins hands with Sony to promote the new TVs

Sony has announced a new concept called 'Cinema is Coming Home', which is meant to highlight the cinematic capabilities of the brand's new Bravia range of televisions for 2024. Working with acclaimed director SS Rajamouli (RRR, Baahubali) to promote the campaign, Sony is pushing the various features and additions to its 2024 range of Bravia televisions, highlighting the various cinematic enhancements which make watching movies on the televisions better. This includes features designed to enhance both the picture and sound quality while watching movies at home.

Some of the advanced picture and audio enhancements on the new Bravia TV range include Studio Calibration, IMAX Enhanced mode, and support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos picture and sound formats.

Studio Calibration sees Sony working with studios and streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Sony Pictures Core to provide calibrated picture as intended by the filmmakers and creators. Dolby Vision HDR support allows for compatible content to be displayed with higher dynamic range, while Dolby Atmos allows for virtualised surround sound using the television's own speakers, as wel as with compatible soundbars or speaker systems.
