After creating a buzz with its Phantom V Fold earlier this year, Tecno had been sneakily teasing us with the design of the Phantom V Flip 5G for a while now. Guess what? The smartphone has officially made its debut!
The Phantom V Flip has a faux leather-wrapped clamshell design, complete with curved edges and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Its hinge can stay open at various angles from 30 to 150 degrees. And when it's all closed up, it's 14.95mm. Tecno says it can handle over 200,000 folds without breaking a sweat.
It rocks a 6.9-inch FHD+ foldable 10-120Hz LTPO AMOLED screen, along with a 1.32-inch outer AMOLED display – always on and ready to give you the lowdown on your notifications.
Under the hood, you've got the MediaTek Dimensity 8050 5G chip. It packs 8GB of RAM and an extra 8GB of virtual RAM, along with 256GB of storage. Techno says there’s also an Ultra-Thin VC Liquid Cooling to keep things from getting too toasty!
As for optics, this smartphone has a 64MP rear camera and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. And a 32MP front camera on the inner screen. Plus, it's got a 4000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging, juicing up to 33% in just 10 minutes, Techno claims. Oh, and they even throw in a charger right in the box.
The Phantom V Flip 5G runs on Android 13 with HiOS 13, and Tecno's not skimping on the software support. They're dishing out 2 Android OS upgrades and 3 years of security patches – so you'll stay fresh and secure.
