The new Mac Mini comes with a faster next-gen CPU and GPU

Want M2 or M2 Pro?

In addition to its coveted new MacBook Pro, Apple also unveiled the latest Mac Mini. And just like the MacBook, this is also powered by the M2 and the new M2 Pro. This is for the first time that a pro chip is used in Mac Mini so don’t consider your device possessed if you see some out-of-the-world performance and flash speed.

Specifically speaking, the Mini with M2 has an 8‑core CPU, 10‑core GPU and up to 24GB unified memory along with 100GB/s memory bandwidth whereas the one with the Pro chip comes with up to 12‑core CPU, 19‑core GPU and up to 32GB unified memory with 200GB/s memory bandwidth. As per the brand, irrespective of whichever chip you choose, the performance and efficiency of the device can challenge desktops many times its size.

Built-in a 7.7in square frame, the Mac Mini with M2 can support up to two displays and the one with M2 Pro can have up to three displays.

As for connectivity, the M2 model features two Thunderbolt 4 ports and the M2 Pro model has four Thunderbolt 4 ports. Both variants have two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, a Gigabit Ethernet port, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. There is also an option to configure a Mac Mini with 10Gb Ethernet for up to 10 times the throughput if you fancy faster networking speed.

Too eager to know the price. Well, you can have a Mac Mini M2 variant at just ₹59,900 and the M2 Pro variant at ₹1,29,900. You can pre-order the device from the Apple website starting today.
