(barring the abstract ones of course). Well, now you can get an abstract one too: the prestigious Blue tick on Twitter (the option to purchase has made it less prestigious though).
In a recent development, Twitter extended its subscription service Twitter Blue to India. The Blue subscription will not only get you the Blue Tick but it will also offer additional features like the ability to edit tweets and you can also post longer videos of up to 60 minutes (2GB) through the web and get early access to upcoming features.
Twitter also states that tweets from verified users will be prioritised to ‘fight scams and spams’. And said, all Twitter Blue subscribers will be required to confirm their phone number as part of the sign-up. Once subscribed to Twitter Blue, changes to your profile photo, display name, or username (@handle) will result in the loss of the blue checkmark until the account is validated.
To get Twitter Blue, you can click on the profile picture on the top left, select Twitter Blue, and of course, give them the money too: a monthly fee of ₹900 if you subscribe from mobile devices (because app stores take a cut) and ₹650 if you subscribe from on the web. There is also a discounted annual plan of ₹6,800 per year translating to ₹566 per month.
