Bat to the Beat is a PC cricket-rhythm game

The Steam demo is now live!

Baba Black Sheep Games, the development label of solo developer Kunal Joshi, has announced Bat to the Beat, a new cricket game for PC on Steam. Bat to the Beat is described as a cricket-rhythm action game, drawing inspiration from titles like Rhythm Heaven Fever, Crypt of the NecroDancer, and Super Hexagon.

In Bat to the Beat, players will travel the world and face challenges set to the unique musical styles of each country, ranging from Jamaican reggae to Bollywood-inspired rhythms from Mumbai. While the full release is slated for later this year, a demo is currently available on Steam.

The core gameplay of Bat to the Beat combines rhythm and spatial awareness, challenging players to make split-second decisions to attack or defend with each beat. The game is developed in Unity and will feature controller support and an original soundtrack. The game is designed to be accessible on a wide range of PCs, with relatively low minimum system requirements. Players can wishlist Bat to the Beat from the Steam store page.
