Forget those clunky headsets and tangled wires, because Nintendo's gone and done something rather clever. They've integrated voice chat directly into the Switch 2 console. That's right, those magnetically-snapping wonders don’t have it but the main console comes with a built-in, noise-cancelling microphone. No more muffled muttering or background racket, just crystal-clear communication for all your online escapades.
What is Nintendo Switch 2 Game Chat?
Discord but with a Nintendo flavour

Nintendo Game Chat isn't just for shouting at your mates during a frantic Mario Kart race. It's also got some rather nifty tricks up its sleeve. You can share your voice or gameplay feed with your voice, pretty much like Discord chat but baked into the Switch 2 system. There’s a dedicated C button on the right joy-con to access Game Chat easily. You can also use the Nintendo Switch 2 Camera to live stream your face while gaming with your friends and the camera will also cut out the background and plaster your face on the chat or even INSIDE supported games like Super Mario Party Jamboree
Instead of integrating Discord like PlayStation and Xbox, Nintendo has opted to make their version of chat with friends which I think is the most Nintendo thing to do. Also, it’s an online paid thing so ya, that’s also a very Nintendo thing to do.
