Apple’s biggest show of the year is about to light up the tech world, and all eyes are on the next generation of iPhone. Here’s your guide to what the iPhone 17 launch might just surprise us with and how to catch the drama live.

iPhone 17 series launch: How to watch?

Apple is hosting the big reveal on September 9, starting at 10 AM Pacific Time (10:30 PM IST), live from Apple Park in Cupertino, California. If you’re not in the US, no worries – the event will be streamed worldwide. Head to Apple.com, the Apple TV app, or Apple’s official YouTube channel to catch all the action in real time.

iPhone 17 series launch: What to expect

We expect four new iPhone models – the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air (rumoured to take over from the Plus), iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The head-turner most likely will be the iPhone 17 Air, tipped to be the thinnest iPhone ever at just 5.5mm with a large 6.6-inch display. To keep it slim, Apple may ditch the physical SIM tray altogether, opting for eSIM-only.

Meanwhile, the Pro Max model could finally break the 5,000mAh battery barrier, offering the longest battery life ever in an iPhone. Expect bigger screens, sharper cameras, and a possible design refresh – rumours suggest the Pro models will sport a pill-shaped camera bump, similar to Google’s Pixel devices.

On the software front, iOS 26 is set to debut with the fresh ‘Liquid Glass’ design language, promising smoother transitions, updated visuals, and a handful of hidden surprises Apple loves to tease.

The Apple Watch Series 11 is also expected to get a health boost with features like blood pressure monitoring, improved sleep tracking, and a longer-lasting battery. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is expected to offer a bigger display, 5G connectivity, and even satellite messaging for staying connected off the grid. For those looking for a budget-friendly entry into Apple’s wearable world, a new Watch SE could make an appearance.

The AirPods Pro 3 are also expected to get sleeker, sport touch-sensitive controls, and run on an upgraded H3 chip. Apple is also expected to introduce updates to watchOS 26, macOS Tahoe, and iPadOS 26.
