Apple is introducing a dedicated Apple Games app that plans to bring all things gaming under one roof. Acting as a central hub, it pulls together your App Store game library, Apple Arcade titles, personalised recommendations, and your friends list into a unified space.
Described by Apple as a “one-stop destination for gaming and social play,” the app doesn’t just consolidate your collection — it also highlights leaderboards and lets players take on special developer-created challenges. Even solo games can feel more connected, with Apple aiming to weave in multiplayer-style interaction through shared goals and competitive tracking.
Alongside the Apple Games app, Apple is also introducing a Game Overlay for iPads and Macs, allowing players to access Game Center, friends lists, and gaming settings without leaving their game. This new app will launch across iPhone, iPad, and Mac platforms starting this fall.
