VisionOS 26 is out now, detailing the next major software update for Apple Vision Pro. This update introduces several new functionalities for the spatial computing platform. It includes spatial widgets for Clock, Weather, Music, and Photos. A new Widgets app is available for locating these spatial widgets. Personas have been updated to display improved expressivity and sharpness, offering full side profile views and enhanced rendering of hair, lashes, and complexion.
Spatial scenes, powered by AI, lets you examine spatial photos with depth, enabling a lean-in and look-around capability. This functionality applies to spatial photos and other content too. New support for 180-degree, 360-degree, and wide field-of-view content from Insta360, GoPro, and Canon cameras is now supported.
Safari also includes spatial browsing now. This feature can remove distractions from articles and display spatial scenes that respond to scrolling. A Jupiter-immersive environment is available. Logitech Muse spatial accessory support is included. Folders are now available in the Home View for organisation. Support for unlocking an iPhone while wearing Vision Pro is added. Users can answer iPhone phone calls within visionOS. Look to Scroll enables hands-free content navigation via eye tracking. The Control Centre has been redesigned.
