HP OmniBook 5 and 3 PCs are designed for everyday performance

HP has introduced the 14-inch HP OmniBook 5, featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus X1-26-100 processor, alongside the HP OmniBook 3 in 15.6-inch and 14-inch variants, powered by the latest AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors.

The HP OmniBook 5, along with the Snapdragon X Plus processor, includes an integrated NPU. According to HP, the chip can handle AI tasks at up to 45 TOPS, enabling features like AI-enhanced video calls through Windows Studio Effects and improved audio performance with HP Audio Boost 2.0. Graphics are handled by the integrated Qualcomm Adreno GPU.

The device runs on Windows 11 Home Single Language and includes a 1080p Full HD IR camera. The device comes with 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD. It features a 14-inch OLED display with a 2K resolution and 300 nits of brightness. 

For connectivity, the laptop features Qualcomm FastConnect Wi-Fi 6E (2x2) and Bluetooth 5.3. Port options include two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port, each supporting 10Gbps transfer speeds. The device is powered by a 3-cell, 59Wh Li-ion polymer battery, with HP claiming up to 34 hours of battery life.

HP OmniBook 3

The HP OmniBook 3 is powered by the new AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors. These chips come with a dedicated NPU that, according to HP, delivers up to 50 TOPS. Inside, the OmniBook 3 has 16GB of DDR5 RAM along with a 512GB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD. Graphics are handled by the integrated AMD Radeon 840M GPU. It features Full HD micro-edge display with 250 nits of brightness, an anti-glare coating, and an 85% screen-to-body ratio. 

The laptop also supports AI-powered enhancements for video calls, including Windows Studio Effects, an HP True Vision 1080p FHD camera, dual microphones, and AI noise reduction for clearer communication.

Running on Windows 11 Home Single Language, the OmniBook 3 is equipped with Realtek Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity. The port selection includes one USB Type-C (10Gbps), two USB Type-A ports (5Gbps), an HDMI-out 1.4b, and an AC smart pin for charging. A 3-cell, 41Wh Li-ion polymer battery powers the system.
