Mercedes’s latest AMG C 43 4Matic sedan comes with a starting price of ₹98,00,000 (all-India ex-showroom). It sports a similar design language as the C Class, but with AMG specific design elements. Up front, you can't miss the signature Panamericana grille and a bumper that means business. When you check it out from the side, you'll notice that it still carries the C-Class DNA, but it's got those attention-grabbing 19-inch AMG alloy wheels that give it an extra dose of cool.
When you take a look at the back of this AMG performance sedan, it might look somewhat familiar, but there's a twist. It rocks a quad exhaust setup incorporated into a sleek blacked-out skid plate. And if that doesn't quite get your attention, there are AMG badges sprinkled all over the place, making it crystal clear that this is no ordinary C-Class.
Step inside the AMG C43 sedan, and you'll find a dashboard layout that's pretty much like what you'd see in the regular C Class. The changes include an AMG-specific steering wheel, front sport seats with eye-catching red stitching and red seat belts for that extra zing. Plus, Mercedes has thrown in some sweet perks, like a 710W 15-speaker Burmester 3D sound system to treat your ears right.
The new AMG C43 packs a 2-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, churning out 408PS and 500Nm torque. Power is distributed to all four wheels courtesy of the 9-speed multi-clutch automatic transmission. Mercedes says this car can blitz from 0 to 100kmph in 4.6 seconds, and while it has the potential to go even faster, its top speed is limited to 250kmph.
The 2023 AMG C43 is also dialed in for a fantastic ride with its AMG Ride Control steel-spring suspension featuring the Adaptive Damping System. It fine-tunes the damping at each wheel, adapting to your driving style and the changing road conditions. You can pick from three damping modes – Comfort, Sport, and Sport+. Mercedes has also equipped the AMG C43 with a 3-stage AMG parameter steering system, so at low speeds, it gives you more assistance, making parking and manoeuvring easy. And when you're cruising at high speeds, especially in Sport or Sport+ modes, it cranks up the feedback from the steering wheel.
