Yesterday at the Ubisoft Forward Event, the company made several announcements for upcoming games and well, it's definitely something to be excited about. In case you missed it, here’s the lineup of the Top 6 games announced.
Ubisoft Forward 2022: Top 6 game announcements
A gamer’s feast
Assassins Creed Mirage
Assassin’s Creed Mirage wasn’t the only surprise that came from the end of the Ubisoft announcements. Although Mirage is going to be the next installment in the franchise and is all set to launch worldwide in 2023, the real surprise is that the game is going back to its roots with more stealth and frankly, actual assassins! The game is set a few years before Valhalla and follows the story of young Basim. The game will release on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Luna, as well as on Windows PC through the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. You can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ to access the games.
We still haven’t got any gameplay trailers yet but Ubisoft opened up about their future plans for the series. There’s an Assassin’s Creed set in Japan and is codenamed Red, meanwhile, a mobile single-player game set in China is codenamed — Jade. There’s also Assassin’s Creed codename Hexe with Red and Hexe being the future triple-A big-budget games. Both of which are being seduced by Infinity — Ubisoft’s new ambitious project to drop all of this into a multiplayer bubble.
Netflix and Ubisoft
Most interestingly, Netflix and Ubisoft have announced their plans to collaborate and create three mobile games, bringing some of the world’s most beloved game franchises to Netflix, starting in 2023. The three games will expand on the Valiant Hearts, Mighty Quest and Assassin's Creed universes, with plans to be available exclusively on mobile to Netflix members around the world, without in-app purchases and thankfully no ads too!
Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope
Ubisoft also revealed some much-awaited gameplay footage of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, which is rapidly approaching its launch on 20th October on Nintendo Switch. They also revealed that Rayman will be starring in a DLC to follow.
Skull and Bones
Two new trailers for Skull and Bones were revealed and what awaits is the ability to discover the bloody race between corporations and pirates to control the Indian Ocean.
You even get a glimpse of the lethal weaponry players will have to use to secure their shares. Skull and Bones will launch on 8th November 2022, on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Amazon Luna, and Windows PC through the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. You can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ on PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna and access the game on day one.
Just Dance 2023 Edition
Prepare to get grooving and shaking (more accurate bouncing and waving your arms) because the 2023 Edition of Just Dance is here. The follow-along dance subscription game has always peaked out Bollywood interest but it never really got itself to be a little desi. Nevertheless, there’s a new one with new moves to try and new music to dance along to. There’s also a party mode which puts everyone in a proper dance battle.
The game will launch on 22nd November on the Nintendo Switch system, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and is available for pre-order on Nintendo Switch at the Ubisoft Store. Stadia shall receive the game at a later date.
