In a world where most smartwatches are gasping for juice by bedtime, Boat has just launched a new wearable that laughs in the face of low-battery warnings. The Boat Storm Infinity Plus, the latest in the brand’s Infinity smartwatch series, has arrived in India, and its headline feature is enormous battery life. Boasting up to 30 days of typical use from a single charge, this smartwatch caters to the active lifestyle, letting you focus on your day, not the battery bar.
The secret to this longevity is a mammoth 680mAh battery packed inside. Boat claims this is a good five times longer than many smartwatches currently on the market. When it finally does need a top-up, their ASAP Charge Technology will apparently take it from flat to full in just 60 minutes. Even more impressively, a quick 10-minute charge is said to deliver up to four days of use, which is pretty handy for those last-minute power boosts.
It's not all just battery though. The Storm Infinity Plus features a large 1.96-inch HD display with 480 nits of brightness for clear outdoor viewing, and a wake gesture to light up the screen with a flick of your wrist. A fully functional rotating crown aids navigation, and it comes with stylish nylon strap options for a rugged, sporty look, alongside standard silicon. It's also IP68 rated for dust, sweat, and splash resistance, and you can customise the look with various watch faces.
For staying connected, the smartwatch includes Bluetooth calling with a built-in HD speaker and microphone, plus an integrated dial pad that can store up to 10 frequent contacts. Health-wise, it’s got you covered with heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, sleep and stress tracking, menstrual cycle tracking for women, and guided breathing exercises. Fitness enthusiasts get over 100 sports modes, a daily activity tracker, step counter, distance tracker, and calorie burn counter. Sedentary alerts and hydration reminders are also on board.
Other smart features include notifications from your phone, quick replies, emergency SOS alerts, a 'Find My Device' function, alarms, stopwatch, calendar, calculator, media controls for music and camera, a few built-in games, and a voice assistant for hands-free control. You also get real-time weather updates.
The Boat Storm Infinity Plus with a silicon strap is available for Rs 1,199 in Active Black, Cherry Blossom, Deep Blue, and Cool Grey. If you prefer the nylon strap, the Sports Black and Sports White variants will set you back Rs. 1,399. You can grab one now from boat-lifestyle.com and Flipkart.
