Have a killer pair of headphones, but that’s not enough to quench your thirst? Like always we’ve got your back and also got you a solution: Astell&Kern PA10, a pocket-sized Class-A amplifier that can sure beat some top-tier portable media players.
As per A&K, the dedicated amp uses its unique Teraton Alpha audio processing for “natural, spacious and distortion-free analog sound”. The PA10 features a pair of 3.5mm ports for input and output, along with a pair of 4.4mm ports that offer balanced audio for compatible headphones. Its crossfeed function uses exclusively hardware circuit design, not digital software. This is supposed to offer a more seamless crossfeed effect without degrading the audio. The device has an in-built battery of 4200mAh and supports USB-C type charging.
The amplifier, in itself, looks quite chic with A&K’s signature style. It has an angular body made of aluminum, weighs around 325g so it's easy to carry it around. The volume dial is at the top and the current, gain and crossfeed switches are on the side in addition to a geometric pattern on the rear.
Too eager to have one? Shell out $550 (₹45,521).
