CMF, the sub-brand from Nothing, is gearing up to launch the CMF Phone 2 on April 28, 2025—and the rumour mill’s already in overdrive. Cutting through the noise, we now have something official – the CMF Phone 2 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro.

This new chip promises a performance bump—10% faster CPU, up to 5% better graphics, and a lot more muscle compared to the original CMF Phone 1. CMF’s also touting this as the best gaming experience in its segment, delivering 120 FPS on BGMI, a 53% network boost, and a 1000 Hz touch sampling rate.

This time around the Phone 2 Pro is also expected to have a charger in the box, unlike the CMF Phone 1. That said, it looks like this bonus accessory might be region-specific, so not everyone's box will be equally blessed.

Design-wise, the teasers hint at a new direction – exposed screws, a metallic finish, and “CMF by Nothing” branding stamped on the back. There's also talk of a textured, tactile exterior—a clear pivot away from the modular plastic vibe of its predecessor. If true, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is shaping up to be a head-turner with the right amount of edge.

CMF also seems ready to up its camera game. The Phone 2 Pro is expected to have a triple camera setup, stepping up from the dual-lens system on the CMF Phone 1. What that third sensor does—telephoto, macro, or depth—is still under wraps, but early whispers suggest a more advanced imaging system overall. For now, that’s the scoop.

The launch is scheduled for April 28, 6:30 PM IST.
